The project developed by AzRENA approved and granted by NATO Scientific Program on modernization of infrastructure and connection to AzRENA backbone of Gyanja and Nakhchivan being regional members of the Association. This project is intended for improvement of AzRENA material and technical basis, communication links, modernization of network communication equipment and others.

Connection to CNOC is effected by means of a wireless communication on the basis of Lucent equipment with KarlNet software. In aggregate this technology allows providing a larger safety, control flexibility and network performance in contrast to 802.11b standard.

Since a day of its foundation, AzRENA conducts a purposeful activity for extension of computer network infrastructure in the field of science and education and its connection to Internet networks of the advanced States, and also development of information resources just not capital and also regions of Azerbaijan.
